Emotional Freedom Technique

Have you ever been accused of being over-emotional or “too” sensitive? Have you ever felt this way yourself – that your emotions are controlling you instead of the other way round?

Then help is at hand! Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) is a meridian therapy that involves tapping acupressure points around the face and upper body. It can be used to help with any issue where emotions lie at the core. For example, if you find yourself reaching for that cigarette, slice of cake or glass of wine, when you know you shouldn’t but can’t stop the craving, then EFT can take care of that.

How Does it Work?

Gary Craig developed EFT as an offshoot from Thought Field Therapy. By tapping around meridian points on the body, any emotional build-up is then released. For example, unpleasant thoughts that keep returning, negative feelings and cravings, call all be eliminated very quickly.

What Makes it so Beneficial?

One of the best things about EFT is that, once you have been taught where to tap, you can repeat the process on yourself whenever you need it. You don’t need to keep seeing a Practitioner! It’s quick, easy to do AND IT WORKS.

Application

I use it in combination with other interventions and have found it extremely helpful for female clients who are in management roles and being accused of being over-emotional in the workplace. This handy technique can become their secret weapon as it can eliminate fears around making professional presentations, succeeding at job interviews, overcoming setbacks and staying calm under pressure.
